What happened to 3 Sisters Embroidery?
3 Sisters Embroidery changed its name to The Yard Collective. The shop at 5410 NC Hwy 55 in Durham, North Carolina is open and the team is on the floor. Online ordering continues at yardcollective.com.
For years, 3 Sisters has been the Durham shop where Greek letters, HBCU pride, and milestone moments were stitched with care. That work means a great deal to this area and to the Black community that has trusted it. The Yard Collective carries that legacy forward, under a name that reflects how the work has grown and who it serves today.
Why a new name
The work grew beyond what the old name could hold. Alongside sorority, fraternity, and masonic apparel, we build jackets, tees, and accessories for HBCU communities, athletic programs, schools, and teams. The Yard Collective is the name for all of it, and the yard is where it starts: the place where you gather, celebrate, and represent.
The people behind it
The Yard Collective is led by Norman and Chavonne, a husband and wife team with roots in Greek life and HBCU culture. Norman is an Alpha Phi Alpha® man from Delaware State. Chavonne is an Alpha Kappa Alpha® woman from New York. Their commitment to mentorship, service, and quality shapes every order that leaves the shop.
What stays the same
The same team is on the floor. The standards behind every order are unchanged, from the stitch quality to the spelling on every name. The shop is in the same Durham location at 5410 NC Hwy 55, and online ordering continues without interruption.
Your loyalty stays with you. Every point you earned as a 3 Sisters customer is still yours, and rewards can be used here. Our loyalty program now has a new name, The Yard Club, and it works just as it did before.
